This is an excellent option for puppies (starting at four months of age) & low-key, easy-going dogs a year old or younger (unless discussed with Kait directly)! We will focus on all on-leash work in this program. This is what we would consider our “preschool” program. There will not be “outings” during this program. Dogs must be crate trained to be eligible for this program (that means quiet & calm in the crate).

This program is designed for owners seeking a head-start to achieving excellent obedience from their dog & a healthy, happy mindset, both on and off-leash. This is an excellent option for those owners looking to work on their dog's overall manners. However, our focus will always be MINDSET over OBEDIENCE.

This has been our most common and popular program! Similar to the two-week program, we focus on manners with Mindset over Obedience in mind. If your dog has some quirks like: minor reactivity, a bit of anxiety, barks a lot, pulls intensely on a leash & lacks manners, this program is probably for you & your dog!

Does your dog have a few extra quirks? This program is designed for owners seeking a fundamental change in their dog’s mindset. This comprehensive program focuses on addressing your dog’s behavioral challenges. This program is for dogs with more severe behaviors, such as intense leash reactivity, minor dog aggression, minor separation anxiety, etc. This program is not one-size-fits-all, so please contact Kaitlin to discuss the best program length for your dog. Your dog will need a lifestyle change with you when returning home. This program will be an incredible jumpstart in the right direction for you & your dog’s relationship.

This can be added on to ANY program booked with Kait! You will spend half a day working directly with Kait and your dog. This will include a guided outing in a public place & extensively going through all your dog has learned. It will be customized for each dog & owner!

The KANE9 Board & Train is the best headstart and foundation to give you and your dog on your training journey together. While your dog stays with us, we will focus on your goals and help your dog be the healthiest, safest, and most confident version of themselves. MINDSET is the critical focus in all of our training. We want to help dogs learn to be calm and confident in all situations while taking things at the pace of each dog individually! The important part is when you come back into the equation! We focus heavily on owner education and spend time with you to ensure you feel ready to bring your dog back home, keep up with the training, and live your best lives together!
In all programs, your dog will be introduced to these skills during their stay with us:
Walk politely on a leash in a calm mindset
Calmness & reliability in public settings (2+ week programs)
Sit, Down and Place with duration
Recall/Come (excludes 1-week program)
Waiting at Thresholds (doors, crate, cars, etc.)
Kennel
Waiting for Food at meal times
Depending on program length, each program has a 1-2 hour go-home lesson (during standard working hours — no weekends).
